Health visitors needed … train now
Are you a qualified nurse, midwife or student nurse expecting to gain NMC registration by September 2012?
We’re offering the chance to become a qualified health visitor for free, in one year or two years part-time, and receive a salary whilst training.
We’re recruiting trainee health visitors to work with local families across the South of England.
The Government is investing in health visiting
The health visiting service is being expanded and strengthened to ensure that all children get a healthy start in life and parents receive the support they need. An extra 4,200 health visitors are being recruited across the country and by March 2015 a rejuvenated and modernised health visiting service will be offered to all families.
Gain free specialist training and a degree
Train to become a health visitor in just one year, or two years part-time. The degree is fully funded by the NHS and you will receive a salary whilst training. Successful completion of the course will give you a degree level qualification and NMC registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor).
You will study at university whilst also working as part of a health visiting team in a local NHS organisation. You will have the opportunity to put theory into practice and develop the skills needed to take on this important role. Students will begin training in September 2012.
