What are our priorities and how are we doing
Priorities
The NHS South of England Board has identified a clear set of overarching priorities for transition, based on a need to focus on safety, quality and money. These focus on:
- improving the quality of NHS patient care by ensuring patient safety and clinical effectiveness are championed, driving better access to care and improving the experience of patients;
- ensuring services are delivered in a timely and effective way to ensure best outcomes for patients and maximum taxpayer value;
- building the reformed NHS and embedding the Government’s modernisation programme so that its benefits are realised;
- addressing strategic issues in the reformed NHS;
- managing the greatest NHS asset – the workforce – by supporting staff through transition, aiding retention of skills and talent.
